Looking Forward - Opportunities and Challengers

Welcome to the Landscaping New Zealand Mitre 10 Landscape Training Seminars. This is a new initiative aimed at providing professional development to all members of the landscape industry.

Are you a landscaper, senior landscape manager or landscape designer working in our fast changing environment?

Our first seminar series will demystify the complex regulatory world and equip you to negotiate it with confidence to achieve the great gardens you and your clients want.

Looking Forward - Opportunities and Challenges

What is in store for the future of the NZ Landscaping Industry?

By 2040 Auckland could be home to 2 million people.
Living in a higher density and more ethnically diverse city will change the way people think about and use public and private open spaces, and the role we as landscape practitioners play.

Rod Oram – journalist and economic commentator – will take us on a journey into the future of our city and the role of the landscape industry in this change.

We’ll discuss:

What Auckland’s built environment will look like
How nature will be integrated in ways that are functional and aesthetically pleasing
What role landscape practitioners will play
How we’ll need to re-think what we do and how we do it

You’ll come away with insights that will enable you to develop an informed strategic plan to future proof the success of your business.
